Foreign student in Belgium? Take out an insurance with the Mutuelle!

In Belgium, to be covered in the event of a health problem (illness, accident, etc.), you need to register with a mutual insurance company (la mutuelle). Our advisors can help you with all the formalities, making registration quick and easy!

What is a mutual insurance company?

The Mutuelle is the leading organisation for everything to do with your health care in Belgium. In practical terms, if you need to see a doctor, buy medicine, be admitted to hospital following an accident, have an operation, etc., it's through your mutuelle that you will be reimbursed. It is therefore compulsory to be registered with a mutuelle in order to be covered.

How do you sign up?

Enrolment in the mutuelle is not automatic; you must apply for it.

There are three ways to do this:

  • Fill in the contact form on the left of this page. You will then receive an e-mail containing all the necessary information and a list of the documents you need to send us to ensure that everything is in order.
