Unlike other countries, it is up to you to do the necessary to register.

Register with a Belgian mutual insurance company. To do this, ask us to contact you by completing in the form on this page.

As soon as you register, the mutual insurance company will provide you with a document S1 (BL1 if you live in Luxembourg) confirming your status as a cross-border worker.

Submit this document S1 (BL1 if you live in Luxembourg) to the social security organisation in your country of residence to receive reimbursement for your healthcare in this country as well.
